Overview

Leading the way in the first-person survival horror clean-em-up genre, 'Area 26' tasks the player with clearing up a research facility whilst avoiding a wandering monster.
This game was designed and developed in 8 weeks for the 'Group Collaboration' module.
Role
As tech designer, my role on this project was to prototype multiple game systems (for example, the pick-up, hiding and furnace systems).

As the project approached completion, I revisited the original code to make it more efficient and was involved in testing and bug-fixing.

Outcome

Thanks to the efforts of everyone on the team, 'Area 26' was awarded a First, with user feedback drawing comparisons with 'Alien Isolation'.
